     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Platte Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents, John T. Bailey and Eliza Shelton.12 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Platte Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents.13
     Edward married Virginia Gallaway, daughter of William H. Gallaway and Angelina Brady, on 9 Sep 1877.9,10,11
     Edward and Virginia appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Empire Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri, enumerated 5 Jun 1880. Their son Oscar was listed as living with them. Her mother was apparently living either with them or close by, as she is listed as the preceding household in the census record.14
     He was a farmer.14
     Edward died on 4 Jan 1886 at age 30.1
