     Virginia Gallaway was born on 16 Jun 1860 in Missouri.6,7,8
     She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Platte Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri, in the household of her parents, William H. Gallaway and Angelina Brady.1
     Her father died before Sep 1871, when Virginia was about 11 years old.14
     Virginia married Edward Spotswood Bailey, son of John T. Bailey and Eliza Shelton, on 9 Sep 1877.9,10,11
     Virginia and Edward appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Empire Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri, enumerated 5 Jun 1880. Their son Oscar was listed as living with them. Her mother was apparently living either with them or close by, as she is listed as the preceding household in the census record.15
     Her husband died on 4 Jan 1886.16
     Virginia apparently died in 1894, as a guardian and curator was appointed for the estate of her son on 20 Jun 1894.12,13 She was buried in Whitesville Cemetery, Whitesville, Andrew Co., Missouri.13
