     1 Sophia Santee was born about 1814 in Ohio.4,5,6
     Sophia married Barzilla Brady, son of Benjamin Brady and Sophia Flora, on 7 Jan 1841 in Highland Co., Ohio, with Alezander Hughey, justice of the peace, officiating.1,7,8
     Sophia and Barzilla Brady moved to Missouri before 1844, when their second son was born. His parents and sibling also moved there about this time, but Sophia and Barzilla returned to Ohio by 1850. They appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Fairfield Twp., Highland Co., Ohio, enumerated 5 Sep 1850, reporting no real estate owned. Their children James and Benjamin were listed as living with them.10
     Sophia and Barzilla appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Fairfield Twp., Highland Co., Ohio, enumerated 2 Jul 1860, reporting real estate valued at $3,220 and personal estate of $3,354. Their children James and Benjamin were listed as living with them, as was May Santee, apparently her neice.11
     Her husband died on 18 Dec 1869.12,13
     Sophia appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Samantha, Highland Co., Ohio, in the household of her son Benjamin. Her son James was also listed, as was Mary J. Cowman, age 21, identified as asst. housekeepter.14
     Sophia appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Centerfield, Highland Co., Ohio, enumerated 10 Jun 1880.15
     Sophia died on 15 Dec 1888.9 She was buried in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, Highland Co., Ohio.9
