     Genette Young was born about 1782 in Virginia.4,5
     Genette married Elisha Flora, son of Joseph Flora Jr. and Catharine Toot, on 31 Aug 1803 in Halifax Co., Virginia.1,6
     She was probably the female age 26 to 45 listed in the household of her husband, Elisha Flora, in the 1820 Federal Census of Meadsville, Halifax Co., Virginia.7 She was probably the female age 40 to 50 listed in the household of her husband in the 1830 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia.8 She was probably the female age 50 to 60 listed in the household of her husband in the 1840 Federal Census of Halifax Co., Virginia.9
     Genette and Elisha appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, enumerated 16 Dec 1850, Their daughter Janett and her husband were evidently living close by, or perhaps even in the same dwelling, as they were listed in the preceding household in the census record.10
     Genette died in Nov 1859.3
