Sarah E. Over was born on 13 May 1841 in Strasburg, Franklin Co., Pennsylvania.7,8,9She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Letterkenny Twp., Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents, David Over and Margaret Richards.15 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Upper Strasburg, Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her father.16
Sarah appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Upper Strasburg, Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of George Flora and Mary A. Glenn, the parents of her future husband, apparently boarding there.17
She was a school teacher before her marriage.18
