     George Flora was born on 13 Mar 1812 in Pennsylvania.3,4,5 He was baptized on 25 Apr 1813 in Zion Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.10
     The administrator of his late father's estate filed an accounting on 8 Mar 1814, and the court ordered that George was to receive a one-third share, amounting to $120.53.11 On 1 Nov 1814 David Shaffer was appointed as guardian of his person and estate.12
     George married Mary A. Glenn.6,7,8
     George and Mary appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Letterkenny Twp., Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 20 Sep 1850. Their son David was listed as living with them.2
     George and Mary appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Upper Strasburg, Franklin Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 28 Jun 1860, reporting real estate valued at $700 and personal estate of $100. Their children David and Margaret were listed as living with them.13
