     7,8,912 Rachel Melvina Fagin was born in May 1842 in Ohio.4,5,6
     Rachel and Philip Kaufman secured a marriage license on 29 Aug 1862 in Clermont Co., Ohio, but either did not get married then or the marriage was not properly recorded. They obtained a new license and were married four years later.1,13 Rachel married Philip on 25 Jan 1866 in Clermont Co., Ohio, with Rev. Edward McHugh officiating.7,8,9
     Rachel and Philip appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Ohio Twp., Clermont Co., Ohio, enumerated 27 Jun 1870, reporting no real estate but $200 in personal estate. Their children Kate and Alice were listed as living with them.14
     Rachel and Philip appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Fairbury, Jefferson Co., Nebraska, enumerated 8 Jun 1880. Their children Kate, Alice, Jessee, John and Emma were listed as living with them.15
     Her husband died on 3 Mar 1895, apparently, as she is shown as a widow in the 1900 census.16,17
     Rachel appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of York, York Co., Nebraska, at 5th St., enumerated 11 Jun 1900, reporting that she rented her home. Her children John, Emma and Percy were listed as living with her.17
     Rachel appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska, at 1016 S. 11th St., enumerated 18 Apr 1910, reporting she was renting her home, apparently one floor in a multi-family bulding. Her son Percy was listed as living with her.18
     Rachel appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska, at 2122 22nd St., in the household of her daughter Alice and her son. Alice operated a rooming house, which had three lodgers, John A. Ahlstrand, age 25 from Sweden, a salesman, Edward J. Mugan, age 34 from Ireland, a bookkeeper, and Sigel H. Hoard, age 50 from Michigan, a laborer.19
     Rachel died in 1932.10 She was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska.11
