Narrative:

Esther Bennett was born on 18 Mar 1785 in Pawlet, Vermont.4,5
Esther married first Henry Cobb, son of John Cobb and Mary Fuller, on 16 Jun 1805.6,7
Esther and Henry moved to Vermont Settlement, near Warsaw, New York, spring of 1808 where they built a log cabin and proceeded to clear the land. But Henry was soon taken sick and died.4 (See map.)
Her husband died on 2 Sep 1808 in Moscow, Genesee Co., New York.9,10,11
Esther evidently moved back to Orwell with her two young daughters following her husband's death.12 She appeared on the 1810 Federal Census of Orwell, Rutland Co., Vermont, with a household consisting of two females under age 10 (daughters Eliza and Mary), and one age 26 to 45 (herself). She was evidently living near her father-in-law, as she is listed on the line following his household.13
Esther married second Ira Barber on 16 Feb 1814.6,8 She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband, Ira Barber, in the 1830 Federal Census of Mendon, Monroe Co., New York, though she was actually about 45.14
Esther and Ira Barber moved to Skeneateles, New York, later to Marcellus and Auburn, New York, and finally to Hickory Corners, Barry Co., Michigan.4 They appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Barry, Barry Co., Michigan, enumerated 2 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $1,000. Their son Walden was listed as living with them.15
Esther died on 27 Jun 1855 in Hickory Corners, Michigan, at age 70.4 She was buried in Gull Praire, Michigan.4

  10. [S2607] Cleveland and Cleveland, Genealogy of the Cleveland and Cleaveland Families, vol 1 pg 45, shows year, as 1811, town, county, as Livingston, and state. However, Livingston was not formed until 1823; before that the area known as Moscow, now in Leicester, was in Genesee Co. There are no Cobbs listed in Genesee Co. in the 1810 census, suggesting Philip Cobb's death date of 1808 is more likely correct.
