Their children Jane, Esther, Minerva, Norman, Henry and Roswell were listed as living with them, as were Sarah Northrop, age 91, apparently a relative of his mother, perhaps her step-mother, and Thomas English, a laborer.21

Mary appeared on the 1855 State Census of Brighton, Monroe Co., New York, enumerated 15 Jun 1855, reporting that they lived in a frame dwelling valued at $175, apparently a three-family building. However, Livingston was not formed until 1823; before that the area known as Moscow, now in Leicester, was in Genesee Co. There are no Cobbs listed in Genesee Co. in the 1810 census, suggesting Philip Cobb's death date of 1808 is more likely correct.
