Mariah M. Terhune was born on 19 Apr 1856 in Indiana.6,7,8She moved to Illinois with her parents about 1858.13 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of St. Marie, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, James B. Terhune and Martha M. Cobb.14
She was probably one of the four females under age 10 listed in the household of her father on the 1865 State Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois.15 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, James B. Terhune and Martha M. Cobb.16
Mariah married Gaudenchey Dulucky Sanders, son of Rebecca Hughes, on 10 Aug 1876 in Jasper Co., Illinois.9,10,11
Mariah and Gaudenchey moved to Clay Co., Indiana, by 1880. They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Lewis Twp., Clay Co., Indiana, enumerated 15 Jun 1880. Their daughter Martha was listed as living with them.17
Mariah died on 13 Oct 1891 at age 35.8 She was buried in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Crawford Co., Illinois.12
