     17 Anna Eliza Terhune was born on 19 Nov 1847 in Seymour, Indiana.6,7,8 She was known to family as Eliza, so commonly that was how she was listed in her obitary.1,18,19
     She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Marion Twp., Decatur Co., Indiana, in the household of her parents, James B. Terhune and Martha M. Cobb.20
     She moved to Illinois with her parents about 1858.21 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of St. Marie, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.22 Anna was probably one of the three females age 10 to 20 listed in the household of her father on the 1865 State Census of Willow Hill, Jasper Co., Illinois.23
     Anna married Joseph A. McCord, son of James McCord and Mary Jane Beall, on 29 Nov 1866 in Jasper Co., Illinois.9,10,11
     Anna and Joseph appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Willow Hill Twp., Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 19 Jul 1870, reporting no real or personal estate. Their children Emma and Laura were listed as living with them.24
     Anna and Joseph appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Willow Hill Twp., Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 8 Jun 1880. Their children Emma, Laura, John, Zetta and Mary were listed as living with them, as was his mother.25
     Anna and Joseph appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Liberty, Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 18 Jun 1900, reporting they owned their farm, free of mortgage. Their daughter Mary was listed as living with them.26
     Her husband died on 21 Apr 1909.27
     Anna appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Willow Hill Twp., Jasper Co., Illinois, enumerated 18 Apr 1910. Her living arrangement is unclear, as many fields in the census record were omitted, and others are incorrect, suggesting the information came from a neighbor. Her son John and his wife and children seem to have been living nearby as they are listed as the fourth following household.28
     Anna appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Hunt, Jasper Co., Illinois, in the household of her son John and his wife, Henrietta McCoy.29
     Anna died on 30 Aug 1927 in Hunt City, Jasper Co., Illinois, at age 79, at the home of her son John.12,13,14 She was buried on 1 Sep 1927 in Mound Cemetery, Hunt City, Jasper Co., Illinois.15,16
