Helen M. Perry was born about 1845 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.7,8,9She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Limestone Twp., Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents, Thomas E. Perry and Mary Elizabeth Pursel.16 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Limestone Twp., Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents.17
Helen married John K. Gann, son of John Gann Jr. and Rachel Kauffman.10,11,12
Helen and John appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Williamsport, Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 6 Jul 1870, reporting real estate valued at $600. Their children Frank and Jenella were listed as living with them.18 Helen also appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Williamsport, Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents. Her sister Rachael is listed with their parents also, even though both had been married several years and listed in their own households with their husbands and children. The two sisters were apparently living near each other as they appear three households apart on the census record.19
Helen and John moved to Norfolk, Virginia, between 1875 and 1880. They appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Norfolk, Virginia, enumerated 7 Jun 1880. Their children Grace and Rachel were listed as living with them.20
Helen died on 19 Jan 1892.13,14 She was buried in Oval Cemetery, Oval, Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania.15
