Annie L. Dismukes was born on 18 Oct 1858 in Nashville, TennesseeG.4,5,6,7
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Nashville, Davidson Co., TennesseeG, in the household of her parents, Robert Logan Dismukes and Sarah E. Hughes.15 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Dardanelle Twp., Yell Co., ArkansasG, in the household of her parents.16
     Annie married first David D. Mitchell, son of D. D. Mitchell and Rebecca E. Mims, on 20 Jan 1878 in Dardanelle, Yell Co., ArkansasG, at the home of the her mother, with Rev. W. J. Dodson officiating.8,9
     Annie and David appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Dardanelle, Yell Co., Arkansas G, enumerated 2 Jun 1880. Their daughter Linah was listed as living with them, as was Lissie Cravens, a servant.17
     Her husband died on 22 Jun 1883.18
     Annie married second Edgar Shinn, son of J. L. Shinn and Martha Battenfield, on 11 Feb 1885 in Yell Co., ArkansasG, with Rev. H. U. Dale officiating.10,11,12
     Annie and Edgar appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dardanelle Twp., Yell Co., Arkansas, on First St. G, enumerated 7 Jun 1900, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children Jacob and Lucile were listed as living with them, as was Sallie Jones, a 19-year-old Black servant.19
     Annie and Edgar appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Dardanelle Twp., Yell Co., Arkansas, on Second St. G, enumerated 28 Apr 1910, reporting they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their daughter Lucile was listed as living with them.20
     Annie and Edgar appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Illinois Twp., Pope Co., Arkansas, on New Hope Rd. G, enumerated 16 Jan 1920, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their daughter Lucile was listed as living with them, as was Alex Hughes, a widowed brother-in-law.21
     Annie and Edgar appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Illinois Twp., Pope Co., Arkansas G, enumerated 14 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $1,500, and did not own a radio. Eula Shinn, age 15, and listed as "daughter A D" (adopted?) was listed was living with them.22
     Annie died on 28 Jul 1937 in Russellville, Pope Co., ArkansasG, at age 78.13 She was buried on 29 Jul 1937 in Brearley Cemetery, Dardanelle, Yell Co., ArkansasG.14
