Narrative:

Robert Benton White was born on 24 Jun 1898 in Stonewall, MississippiG.4,5,6
     He moved to New MexicoG with his parents by 1900. He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Eddy, Eddy Co., New Mexico, G in the household of his parents, Charles Claude White and Almeda Priester.18
     His family not been found in the 1910 census. By 1920 they had moved to Arizona. He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Vernon, Apache Co., Arizona, G in the household of his parents.19
     Robert married first Etha E. Price, daughter of Silas Parson Price and Ollie Ann Large, on 6 Jul 1922 in Yavapai Co., ArizonaG.7,8
     Robert and Etha moved to Kanab, UtahG, by 1924 when their first child was born there.20
      By 1926 Robert and Etha returned to Arizona, where their second child was born in Grand Canyon. G.21
     He was a man of many talents. He was a truck driver in 1926, a merchant in 1929, a ranchman in 1930, and by 1931 was a well driller.22,23,24,25
     Robert and Etha were apparently divorced by 1928, as both remarried then.9,10
     Robert married second Verena Rose Baumgartner, daughter of John H. Baumgartner and Emma H. Kuhlman, on 3 Sep 1928 in Flagstaff, Coconino Co., ArizonaG, with H. M. Richwine, justice of the peace, officiating.11,12,13
     Robert and Verena appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Congress, Yavapai Co., Arizona, on Congress Road G, enumerated 11 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $20 per month, and did not own a radio. Their son Thomas was listed as living with them, as was his son Eddie from his previous marriage.26
     Robert and Verena moved to Illinois about 1932.27
     He was a riding master in a riding academy in Illinois, reporting in 1940 he had worked 60 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,250.28
     Robert and Verena appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Palos Twp., Cook Co., Illinois, at 9400 Kean Ave. G, enumerated 4 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $500, and that they had lived in Chicago in 1935. Their children Thomas, Maxine, and Gertrude were listed as living with them.29
     Robert registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Feb 1942, while living at Willow Springs, Cook Co., IllinoisG, reporting he was employed by Chicago Union Stockyards.3
     Robert and Verena were divorced after 1940.14
     Robert died on 19 Jan 1985 in El Paso Co., TexasG, at age 86.15,16 He was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ouray, Ouray Co., ColoradoG.17
