Narrative:

Michael Weis was born on 15 Aug 1857 in Huntington Co., IndianaG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Clear Creek Twp., Huntington Co., IndianaG, in the household of his parents, John Henry Weis and Catherine.14 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., IndianaG, in the household of his parents.15
     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, G in the household of his mother.16
     He was a baker in 1880.17
     Michael married Amanda M. Kuhlman, daughter of William Kuhlman and Maria Heinricke Dorothe Gleich, on 5 Nov 1881 in Huntington, Huntington Co., IndianaG.7,8,9
     He opened a grocery store in downtown Huntington, on Jefferson St., G opposite the Central Elementary school, about 1897. He operated it for some 26 years, until his death.18,19,20,21

Edward Scheerer was born on 24 Oct 1864 in Huntington Co., IndianaG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., IndianaG, in the household of his parents, Jacob C. Scheerer and Juliana Biehl.10 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, G in the household of his parents.11
     Edward married Hannah L. Kuhlman, daughter of William Kuhlman and Maria Heinricke Dorothe Gleich, on 23 Jun 1889 in Huntington Co., IndianaG, with Charles M. Schaaf officiating.7,8
     Edward and Hannah appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Huntington, Huntington Co., Indiana, at 95 Williams St. G, enumerated 2 Jun 1900, reporting they owned their home. Their children Herman, Arthur, Haden, Evalyn, and Mary were listed as living with them. His parents were listed as living nearby, at 99 Williams St.12
     He was a salesman in a clothing store by 1900.13,14

     His wife died on 1 May 1942 in 735 William St., Huntington, Huntington Co., IndianaG.22
     Edward died on 20 Feb 1943, at his home, 735 William St., Huntington, Huntington Co., IndianaG, at age 78.9 He was buried on 23 Feb 1943 in St. Peter's Reformed Cemetery, Huntington, Huntington Co., IndianaG.3
