Jessie I. Milligan was born in Dec 1872 in IllinoisG.4,5,6
     She moved to KansasG with her parents before 1880. She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Franklin Twp., Bourbon Co., Kansas, G in the household of her parents, Frances X. Milligan and Sarah Jane Williams.11 She appeared on the 1885 State Census of Marion Twp., Bourbon Co., KansasG, in the household of her parents.12
     She appeared on the 1895 State Census of Bronson, Bourbon Co., KansasG, in the household of her father.13 She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Bronson, Bourbon Co., Kansas, G in the household of her father, Frances X. Milligan.14
     Jessie married Lester B. Britton, son of Dr. John Bacon Britton and Elizabeth Blackmore, on 8 Jun 1901 at 1122 East Mercer St., Seattle, WashingtonG, with Rev. J. F. Damon officiating.7,8,9
     They initially settled Washington after their marriage.
     Jessie and Lester moved to Oregon between 1903 and 1910. They appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Wasco Co., Oregon G, enumerated 29 Apr 1910, reporting they owned their farm, which was mortgaged. Their children Joseph and Hazel were listed as living with them.15
     She was a public school teacher, retiring before 1920.16,17,18,19,20
     Jessie and Lester appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Wasco Co., Oregon G, enumerated 5 Jan 1920, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children Joseph, Hazel, and Gordon were listed as living with them.21
     Jessie and Lester appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Wasco Co., Oregon, at Pleasant Ridge Market Road G, enumerated 18 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $10,000, and did not own a radio. Their son Gordon was listed as living with them.22
     Her husband died on 15 Jan 1933 in Wasco Co., OregonG.23
     Jessie has not been found in the 1940 census, though it appears she remained in Wasco Co.
     Jessie died on 9 Mar 1955 in Wasco Co., OregonG, at age 82.10
