Narrative:

George Brainard Atwood Morgan was born on 23 Jun 1894 in Shelton, NebraskaG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Shelton Twp., Buffalo Co., Nebraska, G in the household of his parents, Clayton W. Morgan and Nellie Mar Oaks.18 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Fremont, Dodge Co., Nebraska, G in the household of his parents.19
     George married first Geneva Beulah Hartman, daughter of Winefield Washington Hartman and Ida Bertha Finecy, on 31 Jan 1916 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IowaG.2,7
     George was a private in the Nebraska National Guard for two years prior to enlisting in the Navy.1 George enlisted in the U.S. Navy 2 Jun 1917 in Omaha, NebraskaG.20,21
     He was released from the service 11 Aug 1919.22
     George registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at 907 N. Clarkson, Fremont, NebraskaG, reporting he was employed as an electrician by the H. J. Fratter Co. in Fremont.1
     George and Geneva were divorced before 1920 apparently, but the marriage may have been annulled, perhaps because of her young age. Both were reported as single in the 1920 census and she claimed to have never been married before when she married John G. England in 1922.8,9 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Fremont, Dodge Co., Nebraska, G in the household of his parents.23
     George married second Marguerite M. Henderson, daughter of Alex Henderson and Ida Dorothy, on 15 Aug 1921 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IowaG.10
     George and Marguerite were divorced before Dec 1922, or perhaps the marriage was annulled, as he is shown as married once, and divorced, when he re-married Geneva.11
     George remarried Geneva Hartman on 25 Dec 1922 in Vancouver, WashingtonG, with Rev. J. C. Wetterhahn officating.3 It is unknown whether George and Geneva remained in Washington after they re-married or if they returned to the mid-west. In any event, they are apprently divorce before 1929 when he married Alvina.12
     George married fourth Alvina Chamberlain on 3 Aug 1929 in Madison, Madison Co., NebraskaG.12,13
     George and Alvina appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska, at 2203 Jones St. G, enumerated 19 Apr 1930, reporting they were renting their home, for $40 per month, and did not own a radio. Her son Tilden Chamberlain by her prior marrige was listed as living with them.24
     George and Alvina were divorced before 1940 probably before 1935 since it appears he had remarried by then.14
     George married fifth Verla L. West, daughter of Fred West and Grace Clark, probably before 1935.15
     George and Verla moved to IowaG before 1935 with her daughter, Charlotte.25 They appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, at 2020 Avenue A G, enumerated 8 Apr 1940, reporting they were renting their home, for $26 per month. Her daughterby her previous marriage, Charlotte Waring, was listed as living with them. They were all reported to have lived in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1935.26
     George and Verla moved to WashingtonG before 1942. George registered for the draft for World War II on 26 Apr 1942, while living at 7 Galyan Ave., Bremerton, Kitsap Co., WashingtonG, reporting he was employed by the Puget Sound Navy Yard.27
     He was an electrician, in 1930 for an unidentified shop and by 1940 for the Union Pacific Railroad. That year he reported that he had worked 48 hours the last week of March, and had worked 30 weeks the prior year, earning $3,000.23,28,29
     George died on 31 Jan 1973 in Seattle, WashingtonG, at age 78.16,17
