Pursell and Mary Painter, in the household of John Painter, apparently her material grandfather.11 She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming Co., PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her parents.12
     Anna married Alfred Gann, son of John Gann Jr. and Adeline Cruse, on 16 Feb 1865 in Williamsport, Lycoming Co., PennsylvaniaG.7,8,9

     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Valley, Polk Co., Nebraska, G in the household of her parents, Winefield Washington Hartman and Ida Bertha Finecy.28 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Chappell, Nebraska in the household of her parents.29
     Geneva married first George Brainard Atwood Morgan, son of Clayton W. Morgan and Nellie Mar Oaks, on 31 Jan 1916 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IowaG.2,8
     Geneva and George were divorced before 1920 apparently, but the marriage may have been annulled, perhaps because of her young age. Both were reported as single in the 1920 census and she claimed to have never been married before when she married John G. England in 1922.9,10
     She moved to WashingtonG with her parents before 1920. She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Vancouver, Washington in the household of her parents.30
     Geneva married second John G. England, son of James Harry England and Margaret Griffiths, on 8 Sep 1920 in Vancouver, WashingtonG, with Rev. J. D. Nisewonder officiating.11

After that she even used it in some legal documents, such has in her marriage to Lawrence Rains.33,21,1
     June and Henry appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington G, enumerated 9 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $4,500.34
     June and Henry moved to Montana between 1935 and 1939.35
     Geneva applied for a Social Security Number 24 Apr 1939, while living at Gold Creek Mining Co., Norris, MontanaG, where she was employed by Gold Creek Mining Co., at Der Lodge, Montana.36 She worked there as a bookkeeper. She reported in 1940 that she had worked 20 hours the last week of March, and had worked 40 weeks the year before, earing $450.37

      A short time later they moved to Helena, were they were listed as living at 1101 Livingston Ave. in the 1941-42 edition of the Helena city directory, and he is shown as a miner.39,40
