37 Subdividing the Property --- Text Stolen from ReigelRidge.com !! ---
Having obtained control of their late father's property, Heinrich and Frederick subdivided it. They created the "H. F. and F. W. Wiemann subdivision" with Wieman Ave.
G, which still exists, running the length of it. The original plat of the subdivision was made 24 Jan 1911. It laid out four long narrow lots on Enright Ave., north of Henry's home, and twenty 50-by-125-foot lots on Wieman Ave. On 17 Apr 1911 the city accepted the land they offered for the widening of Enright Ave. and the creation of Wieman Ave.
37,38 On 18 Jan 1912 Henry bought one foot off lot 24 in the subdivision, the one adjacent to his home, from his brother, for one dollar. The filed plat shows his house was encroaching on that lot by a small amount and this transaction was apparently intended to resolve that issue.
