Narrative:

Mary Cobb was born on 24 Jan 1836 in Pawlet, Rutland Co., VermontG.4,5,6
     She was probably the female under age 5 listed in the household of her father, Joshua D. Cobb, in the 1840 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., VermontG.14
     Her mother died on 17 Feb 1845, when Mary was 9 years old.15
     Mary moved to Wisconsin in 1846 with her father, sister Rachel, and her husband, spending their first year at Lake Geneva, G where her brother Robert had already settled.16,17,18 In 1847 they moved to Lima, Rock Co., WisconsinG.19,20,21,22 She appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Lima, Rock Co., WisconsinG, in the household of her father.23
     Mary and her father appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Lima, Rock Co., WisconsinG, in the household of her older sister Rachel and her husband, Abraham Sheldon Edgerton.24
     Mary married Henry J. Wilkinson, son of Philander Wilkinson and Elizabeth, on 8 Mar 1866 in Rock Co., WisconsinG.7,8,9
     Mary and Henry appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Lima, Rock Co., WisconsinG, enumerated 8 Jul 1870, reporting real estate valued at $10,000 and personal estate of $1,500. His mother and her sister Rachel were listed as living with them, as was Agnes Hasinger, a domestic servant.25
     Mary and Henry appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Lima, Rock Co., Wisconsin G, enumerated 23 Jun 1880. His mother and her sister Rachel were listed as living with them, as were Rudolph Haight, a farm laborer, and Adie Elphick, a domestic servant.26
      In 1883 Henry rented his farm to George McMillen and he and Mary moved to Whitewater.27,28,29 They appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Whitewater, Walworth Co., Wisconsin, on S. Prince St. G, enumerated 22 Jun 1900, reporting that they owned their home, free of mortgage. Her widowed niece, Julia Howe, daughter of her late sister Alta, was listed as living with them.30
     Mary and Henry moved to Prairie St.G in 1906.31 They appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Whitewater, Walworth Co., Wisconsin, at 100 N. Prairie St. G, enumerated 28 Apr 1910, reporting that they owned their home, free of mortgage. Her niece Julia was listed as living with them.32
     Mary died on 8 Apr 1919 at age 83.10,11 She was buried on 10 Apr 1919 in Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater, WisconsinG.12,13

William Charles Niephagen was born on 25 Jul 1874 in IllinoisG.4,5,6
     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Bloomington, McLean Co., Illinois, G in the household of his parents, Henry Niephagen and Mary Knortz.14
     William married Aloria Antoinette Bliss, daughter of Marshall W. Bliss and Mary Ann Smail, on 25 Dec 1897 in Bloomington, McLean Co., IllinoisG.7,8,9
     William and Nettie appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Bloomington, McLean Co., Illinois, at 705 E. Buchanan G, enumerated 5 Jun 1900, reporting that the family owned its home, which was mortgaged. Their daughter Marie was listed as living with them.2
     William and Nettie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Bloomington, McLean Co., Illinois, at 1106 East Clay St. G, enumerated 21 Apr 1910, reporting that the family rented its home. Their daughter Marie was listed as living with them.15
     He was a carpenter.16,17,18,19 He registered for the draft for World War I in Sep 1918, while living in Barracks 209C, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Harford Co., MarylandG, reporting he was employed as a carpenter for Maryland Dredging and Construction Co., but reporting his permanent address as 702 S.      William and Nettie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Bloomington, McLean Co., Illinois, at 407 Jefferson St. G, enumerated 5 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned their home, free of mortgage. Two lodgers, Maria M. Campbell, a nurse age 21, and Ethel C. Fuller, age 27, are listed as living with them. It appears that two other married couples are renting space in the same building from them.20
     His wife died on 7 May 1926 in Peoria, Peoria Co., IllinoisG.21,22
     William appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois G, enumerated 28 Apr 1930, boarding at the Y.M.C.A.23
     William appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois, at 454 West Vine G, enumerated 13 Apr 1940, as a lodger in the household of Frank C. and Clara B. Giger, reporting he had lived in the same city in 1935.24 He appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois G, enumerated 5 Apr 1950, as a roomer in the home of Frank and Clara. No relationship has been found between them and William.25
     William died on 30 Nov 1952 in Peoria, IllinoisG, at age 78.10,11 He was buried on 3 Dec 1952 in Springdale Cemetery, Peoria, IllinoisG.12,13

Aloria Antoinette Bliss was born on 13 Jan 1879 in Cooksville, IllinoisG.4,5 She was known to family as Nettie, and that name was even used in most official records, such as her marriage licence, and her tombstone.12,13,3
     Aloria married William Charles Niephagen, son of Henry Niephagen and Mary Knortz, on 25 Dec 1897 in Bloomington, McLean Co., IllinoisG.6,7,8
     Nettie and William appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Bloomington, McLean Co., Illinois, at 705 E. Buchanan G, enumerated 5 Jun 1900, reporting that the family owned its home, which was mortgaged. Their daughter Marie was listed as living with them.14
     Nettie and William appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Bloomington, McLean Co., Illinois, at 1106 East Clay St. G, enumerated 21 Apr 1910, reporting that the family rented its home. Their daughter Marie was listed as living with them.15

     William married Celia Adline Harp on 19 Dec 1842 in Crawford Co., GeorgiaG, with John McMicheal, justice of the peace, officiating.7,8
     William and Celia appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Grangerville, Macon Co., GeorgiaG, enumerated 3 Aug 1860, reporting real estate valued at $7850 and personal estate of $27,100. Their children Robert, Egbert, William, Cora, Susan, Thomas, Adela, and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Luana E. Harp, age 38, recorded as idiotic.2
     William and Celia appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Douglasville, Davis Co., TexasG, enumerated 8 Sep 1870, reporting real estate valued at $2000 and personal estate of $2,000. Their children William, Cora, Susan, Thomas, Adela, and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Luannia Harp, age 49, recorded as insane.11

Celia Adline Harp was born on 19 Dec 1819 in GeorgiaG.4,5,6
     Celia married William J. Howe on 19 Dec 1842 in Crawford Co., GeorgiaG, with John McMicheal, justice of the peace, officiating.7,8
     Celia and William appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Grangerville, Macon Co., GeorgiaG, enumerated 3 Aug 1860, reporting real estate valued at $7850 and personal estate of $27,100. Their children Robert, Egbert, William, Cora, Susan, Thomas, Adela, and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Luana E. Harp, age 38, recorded as idiotic.11
     Celia and William appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Douglasville, Davis Co., TexasG, enumerated 8 Sep 1870, reporting real estate valued at $2000 and personal estate of $2,000. Their children William, Cora, Susan, Thomas, Adela, and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Luannia Harp, age 49, recorded as insane.12
     Celia and William appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cass Co., Texas G, enumerated 11 Jun 1880. Their children Thomas and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Emiline Harp, age 58, recorded as insane, and Thomas' wife, Mattie.13
     Celia died on 16 Dec 1892 at age 72.9 She was buried in Douglassville Cemetery, Douglassville, Cass Co., TexasG.10
