Narrative:

His given name may well have been Elkanah Winchester. The only source found that attempts so spell his first name seems to show it as Elhanin, but Elkanah was a name often used in the family. But he seems to have universally used the name Winchester, or simply Win, as an adult.1,11 E. Winchester Cobb was born on 28 May 1822 in PennsylvaniaG.4,5,6

Their children Olive and Raymond were listed as living with them.2 They seem to have been living close to his supposed brother, Perry, and his wife, as they are listed two households previously on the census record.14
Winchester and Charlotte appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Stevensville, Bradford Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 25 Jun 1860, reporting real estate valued at $2,000 and personal estate of $810. ID# 9606, (1803 - )

Parents:

FatherDr. Ebenezer Beeman (7 Jan 1761 - 9 Feb 1840)
MotherHannah Lum (abt 1777 - 1823)
Chart MembershipDescendants of Gideon Cobb

Key Events:

Birth: 1 Jul 1803, New York,4,5,6
Marriage: abt 1820, Derrick Cobb (b. 1 Feb 1789, d. 17 Jun 1868)7,8

Narrative:

Cynthia Beeman was born on 1 Jul 1803 in New YorkG.4,5,6
Cynthia married Derrick Cobb, son of Ebenezer Cobb and Elizabeth Lathrop, about 1820.7,8 She was probably the female age 20 to 30 listed in the household of her husband, Derrick Cobb, in the 1830 Federal Census of Wyalusing, Bradford Co., PennsylvaniaG.9 She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband in the 1840 Federal Census of Wyalusing, Bradford Co., PennsylvaniaG.10
Cynthia and Derrick appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Wyalusing, Bradford Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 17 Oct 1850, reporting real estate valued at $500. Their children Harriett, Ebenezer, Jaxon, Minerva, Edward, and Emily were listed as living with them, While the record contains some inconsistencies (the head of household is shown as Richard Cobb, and he is shown 5 years too young), comparison with other census records suggests this was in fact their household.11
Cynthia and Derrick appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Stevensville, Bradford Co., PennsylvaniaG, enumerated 25 Jun 1860, reporting real estate valued at $1,000 and personal estate of $552. Their children Edward and Emily were listed as living with them, as were Emma Clink, age 6, and Perry Clink, age 3. A Clink family is listed close by the Cobbs in 1840, so these could be grandchildren if one of their daughters married a neighbor's son. They were apparently living close by their sons Winchester and Perry and their families, as they are both listed within a few households on the census record.12,13
Cynthia appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Rushville, Bradford Co., PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her son Winchester and Charlotte Blakeslee, his wife.14
