Luella Ruth Glenn was born on 17 Feb 1896 in Crayne, Crittenden Co., KentuckyG.4,5,6
     She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Marion, Crittenden Co., Kentucky, G in the household of her parents, David P. Glenn and Mary Wood Cobb.13
     Her father died on 22 Jun 1904, when Luella was 8 years old.14
     She used her middle name, Ruth, exclusively as an adult. It even was used on her death certificate, although her tombstone does user her full birth name.15,16,10
     Luella moved to Texas before 1910, apparently with her brother Hugh and his wife. She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Houston, Harris Co., Texas, G in the household of Hugh and Rosalie Woolf, who are shown as her father and his wife, but according to other records was her brother.17
     Luella married Joseph Beasley Hutchison, son of Joseph B. Hutchison and Lettie A. Phillips, on 5 Jun 1916 in Harris Co., TexasG, with Rev. A. B. Buchanan, pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church, officiating.7,8,9
     Joseph was working for the Texas and Pacific Railway in Mingus, Palo Pinto Co., TexasG, in 1917, though it is unclear whether Luella was living there with him.18
     Luella and Joseph moved to Jefferson Co.G before 1920. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Beaumont, Jefferson Co., Texas, at 1327 Victoria G, enumerated 7 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned their home. Her mother, Mary Wood Cobb, was listed as living with them.19
     Luella and Joseph returned to Houston before 1930. They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Houston, Harris Co., Texas, at 2210 Caroline G, enumerated 26 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $32.50 per month, and did not own a radio. Two bakers, Elo and Otto Peters, were listed in the household as lodgers.20
     Luella and Joseph appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Houston, Harris Co., Texas, at 1101 Welch G, enumerated 15 Apr 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $40 per month, and that they had lived in the same city in 1935.21
     Luella and Joseph appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Houston, Harris Co., Texas, at 1101 Welch G, enumerated 1 May 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm and they lived in the same house the year before.22
     Luella died on 12 Jan 1978 in Tyler, Smith Co., TexasG, at age 81.10,11 She was buried on 19 Jan 1978 in the Texas State Cemetery, Austin, TexasG.10,12
