His son Emerson was listed as living with him. Solomon reported he was unable to work, but had worked 52 weeks in 1949, earning $7,000 from his farm. A relative in the household, presumabley Emerson, had earned $1,800. He was apparently operating the farm, as reported his occupation as a farmer operating his own business, and had worked 84 hours the prior week.21
