Narrative:

Robert Harold Heiple was born on 8 May 1924.4,5,6 He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, G in the household of his parents, Harold Benjamin Heiple and Maude Mae Thomas.10 He appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, G in the household of his parents.11
     Robert was drafted into the U.S. Army in World War II. He entered service 20 Mar 1943, in Peoria, IllinoisG, as a private. He served in Company E, 310th Infantry, 78th Division, reaching the rank of corporal.12,13
     Robert died on 16 Dec 1944 at age 20, in battle in Europe.7,8 He was buried in Glendale Cemetery, Washington, Tazewell Co., IllinoisG.9
