     Her mother died on 4 Mar 1903, when Hilda was 1 year old.12 Hilda appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Morgan Park, Cook Co., Illinois, G in the household of her father, George Sjoerdsma, and stepmother, Amanda.13 She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois G, in the household of her father and stepmother.14
     Hilda married Charles Elmer Arthur Glabe, son of Jacob Glabe and Emma Amelia Goller, in Chicago, Cook Co., IllinoisG, apparently on 3 Apr 1923, although a second record exists showing the date as 18 Jan 1922.7,8
     Hilda and Charles and their two daughters, Patricia and Judith, moved to ArizonaG in 1934.15 Hilda and Charles appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Lake Bluff, Maricopa Co., Arizona G, enumerated 18 Apr 1940, reporting that they rented their home, for $24 per month, and that they had lived in the same town in 1935. Their three children were listed as living with them.16
      By 1947 they had moved to Phoenix, where they were living on N. 32nd St. G.17
     Hilda and Charles moved to Chico, CaliforniaG, for a time around 1950.18,19

     He moved to ChicagoG about 1913 with his parents.13 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of 11045 Esmond St., Chicago, Cook Co., IllinoisG, in the household of his parents, reporting his occupation as a clerk at a stockyard.14
     Robert married Ruth Fern Shaffner, daughter of Samuel Shaffner and Ada Caroline Gary, on 12 Sep 1923 in Chicago, IllinoisG.7,8,9
     Robert and Ruth appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, at 11007 Esmond St. G, enumerated 11 Apr 1930, reporting that they owned a home, value "unknown," and did not own a radio. Their son Kenneth was listed as living with them.15
     He was a clerk when his son was born in 1926, and a salesman for an insect exterminator company by 1930.16,17

     He was a varnish fitter for paint company by 1940, when he reported he had worked 40 hours the last week of March, and had worked 52 weeks the prior year, earning $1,716.18 He registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Feb 1942, while living at 2023 W 119th St., Blue Island, Cook Co., IllinoisG, reporting he was employed by Shermin Willaims Paint Company, in Chicago.3 His niece Carmen Edith Glabe later recalled he had a health problem with his lungs supposedly as a result of working at the paint factory.19
     He was a sales correspondent for a paint manufacturer by 1950, reporting in the 1950 census he had worked 24 hours the prior week.20
     Robert and Ruth appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Blue Island, Cook Co., Illinois, at 2259 120th Place G, enumerated 5 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Delia McDonald, a 63-year-old Irish widow, was as listed as a lodger.21
     Robert died on 4 May 1966 in Blue Island, IllinoisG, at age 65.10,11

     Albert married first Edna Catherine Glabe, daughter of Jacob Glabe and Emma Amelia Goller, about 1906.7,8,9
     Albert and Edna appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, at 601 Montana St. G, enumerated 27 Apr 1910, reporting they rented their home. Their children Marguerite and Evelyn were listed as living with them.17
     Albert and Edna moved to Los Angeles Co., California about 1913, settling initially in Springdale, near Compton. His parents moved here about the same time. Albert registered for the draft for World War I on 12 Sep 1918, while living in Springdale, Los Angeles Co., CaliforniaG, reporting he was employed as a riveter at Los Angles Ship Building Co., San Pedro.2
     Albert and Edna appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Compton, Los Angeles Co., California G, on Springdale Ave., enumerated 15 Jan 1920, reporting they owned the home, which was mortgaged. Their children Marguerite, Evelyn, Stanley, Kenneth, and Albert and a son believed to be still living were listed as living with them. The dual listings suggest they had been living with his parents and were moving into a separate home.19
     Albert and Edna appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Norwalk, Los Angeles Co., California G, on Washburn Newton Rd, enumerated 16 Apr 1930, reporting they were renting their home. Their children Evelyn, Stanley, Kenneth, Albert, and Howard and a son believed to be still living were listed as living with them, as was their eldest daughter Marguerite's two-year old daughter.20
     Albert and Edna appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., California G, at 463 W. 37th Pl, enumerated 12 Apr 1940. They reported that they were renting their home for $30 per month and had lived in the same city in 1935. Their children Stanley, Kenneth, Albert, Howard, and Patricia and a son believed to be still living were listed as living with them.21
     He was a plastering contractor in IllinoisG in 1910. In 1920, in California, he was plastering houses working for someone else. By 1930 he had become a farmer, operating a nursery.22,23,24 He was again doing plastering, for a private contractor, by 1940. That year he reported working 40 hours the last week of March, and working 26 weeks the prior year, earning $1,000 in 1940.21 He reported in the 1950 census he had worked 48 hours the prior week. He also reported working 52 weeks in 1949, earning $6,000 in wages or salary.25
     His wife died on 11 May 1943 in Los Angeles, CaliforniaG.26,27,28
     Albert married second Margaretta E. Hill, daughter of Joe W. Hill and Mary Elnora Bishop. She was the widow of William David Matheson and Robert Gilmore Ainsworth. She had previously been married to Cecil Victor Schirmacher.10,11

James and Anna appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Compton, Los Angeles Co., California G, on Springdale Ave., enumerated 15 Jan 1920. Their son Albert and his family are listed immediately following, indicating they were living in the same house or close by. But they are also enumerated at a different address two weeks later, suggesting they had been living with his parents and were moving away.3
