We returned to the Rocky Mountaineer, hosts for our southwestern Canada trip in August 2008, to explore their new "Rockies to the Red Rocks" route in Utah and Colorado. We took a seven-day tour of Utah and Colorado. We started in Salt Lake City, exploring Antelope Island north of the city, and Temple Square. We then drove through the Wasatch mountains to Moab, where we explored Arches National Park. We concluded with the two-day rail tour across eastern Utah and the Colorado Rockies to Denver.

For a pictorial view of our adventure, take a look at our slideshow. Sadly, we were so busy driving we failed to get photos of the beautiful drive to Moab.
