     Joseph Beasley Hutchison was born on 15 Sep 1893 in Liberty Hill, Williamson Co., Texas.6,7,8
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Williamson Co., Texas, in the household of his parents, Joseph B. Hutchison and Lettie A. Phillips.4
     Joseph married Luella Ruth Glenn, daughter of David P. Glenn and Mary Wood Cobb, on 5 Jun 1916 in Harris Co., Texas, with Rev. A. B. Buchanan, pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church, officiating.9,10,11
     Joseph registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jun 1917, while living at Mingus, Palo Pinto Co., Texas, reporting he was employed as fuel inspector by the Texas and Pacific Railway Co. in Mingus.2 He reported in 1920 he was a fuel expert for a motor corporation.15
     Joseph and Luella moved to Jefferson Co. before 1920. They appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Beaumont, Jefferson Co., Texas, at 1327 Victoria, enumerated 7 Jan 1920, reporting that they owned their home. Her mother, Mary Wood Cobb, was listed as living with them.16
     Joseph and Luella returned before 1930. They appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Houston, Harris Co., Texas, at 2210 Caroline, enumerated 26 Apr 1930, reporting they rented their home, for $32.50 per month, and did not own a radio. Two bakers, Elo and Otto Peters, were listed in the household as lodgers.17
     By 1930 he was an architect In 1840 he reported he had worked 84 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year. In 1950 he reported he had worked 48 hours the prior week, earning $2,980 in wages or salary, in 1949.18,19,20
     Joseph and Luella appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Houston, Harris Co., Texas, at 1101 Welch, enumerated 15 Apr 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $40 per month, and that they had lived in the same city in 1935.21
     Joseph registered for the draft for World War II on 27 Apr 1942, while living at Houston, Texas, reporting he was self-employed as an architect.
     Joseph was a chief warrant officer in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion in WW II.22,23,24
