     Ella married first Victor Henry Winkels, son of Peter John Winkels and Margaretha Molitor.13,14
     Her husband died on 30 Apr 1945 in France, killed in the War.22,14,23
     Ella was living in Coquille, Oregon, before her second marriage.24 She was a home economist, working as an extension agent in Coos Co., Oregon, before her marriage. She reported in the 1950 census she had worked 40 hours the prior week. She resigned her post there in Mar 1950.25,26,27
