Ruth Ledora Riggs was born on 28 Oct 1917 in Mackay, Idaho.9,10,11She appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Pocatello, Bannock Co., Idaho, in the household of her parents, David Levi Riggs and Dora Ethel Bostwick.4 She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, in the household of her parents.5
Ruth married Kenneth Ivan Reigel, son of Frank William Reigel and Emma Sophia Gapsch, on 3 Jun 1937 in Stevenson, Skamania Co., Washington, Rev. E. Williams, a Congregational minister, officiating.12,9
Ruth and Kenneth appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Salmon Creek, Clark Co., Washington, on Pacific Rd., enumerated 23 Apr 1940, reporting that they owned a farm valued at $2,500, and had each lived in Portland, Oregon, in 1935. Their son Richard was listed as living with them.15
Ruth and Kenneth moved to the Oregon coast, near Walport, about 1944.16
Ruth and Kenneth returned to Washington about 1947.17

After about a year Ruth and Kenneth returned to Washington. They appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Clark Co., Washington, enumerated 6 Apr 1950, reporting they lived on a farm. Their two children were listed as living with them.20
By 1958 Ruth and Kenneth returned to California. They bought 80 acres two miles north of Nord, where they built a home.21,22
Ruth and Kenneth returned to Washington, where on 2 Apr 1962 they bought a 40-acre farm near Ridgefield.23
They sold the farm near Ridgefield 13 Mar 1978, and moved to Rainier, Oregon.24,25 There they purchased a 19-acre farm at 76828 Amundson Rd., on river-bottom land near the Columbia River.26
Ruth and Kenneth developed a nursery on the Rainier property, calling it the West Rainier Nursery. They raised shrubs for sales at wholesale and planed and installed landscaping.27,28,29
Her husband died on 31 Dec 1990 in Longview, Cowlitz Co., Washington.30,31
Ruth died on 23 Oct 2010 at age 92.13 She was buried in Green Mountain Cemetery, Rainier, Columbia Co., Oregon.14
