     16 Ann Clayton was born on 5 Jan 1866 in Wesley City, Illinois.6,7,8,9 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Pekin Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, Richard Clayton and Pamela Robinson.17 She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Pekin Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.18
     Ann married John P. Cumming, son of James Proctor Cumming and Helen Hamilton Lee Pace, in 1886.10,11,12
     Ann and John appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of East Peoria, Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 11 Jun 1900, reporting that they rented their home. Their daughter Pamela was listed as living with them.19 Ann also appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Limestone Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, listed as a boarder.20
     Ann and John appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Fon du Lac Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois, enumerated 15 Apr 1910, reporting they rented their home. Their daughter Pamela and her husband, Louis Oetzel, were listed as living with them, as were Ann's sister Emma and her son, Charles Hicks, age 34, a coal miner.21
