     Emerson Edward Vaubel was born on 17 Dec 1911 in Pearl City, Stephenson Co., Illinois.9,10,11
     He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Bonfield, Kankakee Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents, Rev. Edward George Vaubel and Catherine Angelia Glabe.5 He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ottawa, LaSalle Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.6
     He was employed by the Blyth Bond Company of Chicago at the time of his marriage in Chicago.17
     Emerson married Isabelle Helen Stewart, daughter of John Alexander Stewart and Helen Mary Henry, on 3 Oct 1935 at her parents' home in Naperville, Illinois, with his father officiating.12,13,14,15 They were also recorded as married 18 Nov 1935 in Cook Co., Illinois. Why they were married again is unknown.18
     Emerson and Isabelle appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Freeport, Stephenson Co., Illinois, at 116½ N. Grove St, enumerated 19 Apr 1940, reporting they rented their home, for $35 per month. Their daughter was listed as living with them, as was Savina Miller, a domestic, listed as a lodger.19
     He was a tax accountant for a battery company by 1940. That year he reported he had worked 40 hours the last week of March, and had worked 52 weeks the previous year, earning $1,500.19 He registered for the draft for World War II on 16 Oct 1940, while living at 116½ N. Grove St., Freeport, Stephenson Co., Illinois, reporting he was employed by Burgess Battery Company, in Freeport.3
     Emerson and Isabelle moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1944, when he took a job as a tax accountant with American Bridge Company.20 He reported in the 1950 census he had worked 40 hours the prior week.21
     Emerson and Isabelle appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Leetsdale, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, at 142 Victory Lane, enumerated 3 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Their three children were listed as living with them.22 Emerson also appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio at the Statler Hotel, 630 Euclid E 2th St., enumerated 21 Apr 1950.23
     Emerson and Isabelle moved to Brunswick, Ohio, in the 1970's.20
     Emerson died on 12 Oct 1992 in Middleburg Heights, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio, at age 80.16
