     20 LaVerda Caldwell Glabe was born on 27 Mar 1920 in Cissna Park, Illinois.10,11,12
     LaVerda's family moved to Paxton, some 30 miles south and east of Chatsworth, before 1930. She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Paxton, Ford Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents, Henry Jacob Glabe and Nellie L. Caldwell.4 She appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Paxton, Ford Co., Illinois, in the household of her parents.5
     She was bookkeeper for a dairy in 1940, reporting in the 1940 census that she had worked 40 hours the last week of March, and had worked 52 weeks the previous year, earning $420.5 She appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Paxton, Ford Co., Illinois, in the household of her father, Henry Jacob Glabe.7
     LaVerda married Harold Walter Lyon, son of William Howard Lyon Jr. and Catherine H. Wilson, on 1 Nov 1957 in Crown Point, Lake Co., Indiana, with Harvey T. Minas, justice of the peace, officiating.13,14,15
     LaVerda and Harold moved to Savoy, Illinois, in Nov 1988 living there until their deaths.6
