Narrative:

     Nannie C. Briggs was born about 26 Oct 1855 in Waxahachie, Texas.6,7,8
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Division 4, Ellis Co., Texas, in the household of her parents, Dr. William T. Briggs and Mary C. Rogers.12 She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Waxahachie, Ellis Co., Texas, in the household of her parents.13
     Her father died on 31 Jan 1871, when Nannie was 15 years old.14
     Nannie married James P. Walker, son of James Pembroke Walker and Modena A. Cobb, on 16 Apr 1878 in Ellis Co., Texas, with Rev. W. G. Neal offciating.9
     Nannie and James appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Tarrant Co., Texas, enumerated 17 Jun 1880, in the household of George Vickers and his wife, apparently as boarders. Their son Mercer was listed as living with them, as were one other boarder and a servant.15
     Nannie died on 20 Jan 1881.10 She was buried in Waxahachie City Cemetery, Waxahachie, Ellis Co., Texas.11
