     Emma Eugeniah Crabtree was born on 2 Oct 1854 in Lost Prairie, Arkansas.8,9,10
     She appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Saline Twp., Hempstead Co., Arkansas, in the household of her parents, William H. Crabtree and Sophia W. Cobb.20,21
     She moved to Lafayette Co., Arkansas, with her parents before 1870. She appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Roane Twp., Lafayette Co., Arkansas, in the household of her parents.22
     Emma attended the New Orleans School of Music, Minden, Louisiana, and was regarded as a gifted musician.23
     Emma married first Dr. Warrin James Lomax on 4 Feb 1874 in Lafayette Co., Arkansas.11,12,13
     Her husband died before 1880 apparently, as she was with her parents in the 1880 census, listed as widowed. No other record of her husband has been found, either before or after their marriage.24,25
     She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Roane Twp., Lafayette Co., Arkansas, in the household of her parents, with her daughter Pearl.26
     Emma married second Benedick M. Hendricks, son of William B. Hendricks and Nancy Polk, on 29 Jul 1884 in Lafayette Co., Arkansas, with J. W. Berry offciating.14,15,16
     Emma and Benedick appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Garland, Miller Co., Arkansas, enumerated 22 Jun 1900, reporting they owned their farm, free of mortgage. Her mother was listed as living with them.27
     Her second husband died before 1910.28,29
     Emma appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Texarkana, Miller Co., Arkansas, in the household of her daughter Pearl and her husband, H. Richard Haak.30
     Emma appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Garland Twp., Miller Co., Arkansas, in the household of her grandson Leon Lomax McKeehan.31
     Emma moved with her grandson, Leon, to Fayetteville in 1927.6 She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Fayetteville, Washington Co., Arkansas, in the household of Leon, his wife Lillian G. Durham, and their two children.32
     Emma died on 30 Dec 1939, at the home of her grandson, Leon L. McKechan, on Goshen Rd., Fayetteville, Arkansas, at age 85.17 She was buried on 31 Dec 1939 in Old Rondo Cemetery, Rondo, Miller Co., Arkansas.18,19
