     Addie Lee Godman was born on 30 Jan 1872 in Corinth, Grant Co., Kentucky.6,7,8
     She appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Rutland, Harrison Co., Kentucky, in the household of her parents, Samuel B. Godman and Mary Barnes.4
     It appears that Addie's family, or perhaps just her older brother James, moved to Linn Co., Missouri, in the 1890s. No record of her parents being in Missouri has been found, but James also married in Linn Co. and he and his family were living there in 1900.
     Addie married Pomeroy B. Britton, son of Dr. John Bacon Britton and Elizabeth Blackmore, on 26 Dec 1893 in Linneus, Linn Co., Missouri, with Rev. J. W. Caldwell officating.9,10,11
     Addie and Roy settled in Kansas after their marriage. They appeared on the 1895 State Census of Mapleton, Bourbon Co., Kansas. Their son Don was listed as living with them.15
     Addie and Roy appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Timberhill Twp., Bourbon Co., Kansas, enumerated 29 Jun 1900, reporting they owned their home, free of mortgage. Their children Don and Walter were listed as living with them.16
