     Lester B. Britton was born in Nov 1868 in Mapleton, Kansas.6,7,8
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Timberhill Twp., Bourbon Co., Kansas, in the household of his parents, Dr. John Bacon Britton and Elizabeth Blackmore.13 He appeared on the 1875 State Census of Timberhill Twp., Bourbon Co., Kansas, in the household of his parents.14 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Timberhill Twp., Bourbon Co., Kansas, in the household of his parents.15
     His father died on 6 Aug 1884, when Lester was 15 years old.16,17
     Lester appeared on the 1885 State Census of Timberhill Twp., Bourbon Co., Kansas, in the household of his mother.18
     Lester moved to Washington before 1900. He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Clear Lake, Skagit Co., Washington, enumerated 8 Jun 1900, reporting he rented his home.19
     He was a mill watchman in 1900, and a wood worker by the next year.20,21
     Lester married Jessie I. Milligan, daughter of Frances X. Milligan and Sarah Jane Williams, on 8 Jun 1901 at 1122 East Mercer St., Seattle, Washington, with Rev. J. F. Damon officiating.9,10,11
     They initially settled in Washington after their marriage.

     Lester and Jessie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Wasco Co., Oregon, on Pleasant Ridge Market Road, enumerated 18 Apr 1930, reporting they owned a home valued at $10,000, and did not own a radio. Their son Gordon was listed as living with them.27
     Lester died on 15 Jan 1933 in Wasco Co., Oregon, at age 64.12
