     Lillian and John appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York, at 149 Covert St., enumerated 5 Jun 1900, reporting they were renting their home. Their son Linah was listed as living with them.17
     John evidently contacted a serious injury or disease. He was admitted to the Home for Incurables 28 Mar 1909 and Lillian and their son went to live with her parents.18 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Manhattan, New York Co., New York, in the household of her parents, Richardson F. Adams and Helen Scott, with her son Linah.5
     Her husband died on 29 Dec 1910 in Home for Incurables, New York, New York Co., New York.19
