     Doris married James Merlon Devereaux, son of William James Devereaux and Anna Elizabeth Simons, on 3 Sep 1937 in Weymouth, Massachusetts.8,9,10
     Doris and James appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of South Weymouth, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts, at 936 Main St., enumerated 17 Apr 1940, reporting that they were renting their home, for $40 per month, and that he had lived in Northampton in 1935 while she lived in South Weymouth.16
     She was a hospital nurse, reporting in 1940 that she had worked 56 hours the last week of March, and 26 weeks the prior year, earning $800.16,17
