Narrative:

Ida May Devereaux was born on 9 May 1926 in Northampton, Pennsylvania.7,8,9 She was baptized on 25 Sep 1926 in St. Paul's Reformed Church, Northampton, Pennsylvania, with Rev. I. M. Bachman officiating.1
She appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents, William James Devereaux and Anna Elizabeth Simons.2 She appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her parents.3
Ida married first Harry Raoul Hartman, son of Harry Eugene Hartman and Katie H. Hill, on 25 Nov 1945 in St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Northampton, Pennsylvania, with Rev. Sidney S. Smith officiating.10,11
Ida and Harry appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, at 2288 Main St., enumerated 10 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm, and had lived in the same county the prior year. Their four eldest children were listed as living with them, as were her parents.16
Ida and Harry were divorced before 1980.12
Ida married second Clarence Albert Gotthardt, son of George Henry Gotthardt and Eva Rebeccah Amelia Trexler. He was the widower of Margaret M. Bertalan.13
She was a waitress for Miller's Diner in Northampton for 30 years before retiring in 1991.4
Ida and Clarence evidently separated, as his obituary mentions his first marriage, but not his marriage to Ida, while hers, five years later, shows him as her husband. His obituary states that he was living with his companion, another woman who appears to be still living, at the time of his death. Apparently that relationship was significant, as her name appears with his on a joint tombstone.17,18
Ida died on 28 Nov 2002 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, at age 76.14,15
