     Harry Eugene Hartman was born on 16 Aug 1888 in Weissport, Carbon Co., Pennsylvania.6,7,8,9 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Franklin Twp., Carbon Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents, James A. Hartman and Catherine J. Ziegenfus.17
     Harry married first Katie H. Hill, daughter of William F. Hill and Floria Zieglin, about 1907.10,11,12
     Harry and Katie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, at 1841 Washington St., enumerated 9 May 1910, boarding with two other men in the home of Ellen Eckert. Their son James was listed as living with them.18
     Harry registered for the draft for World War I on 5 Jul 1917, while living at 823 N. 8th, Allentown, Pennsylvania, reporting he was employed as a locomotive fireman for Lehigh Valley Railroad in Allentown.1
     Harry and Katie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Allentown, Lehigh Co., Pennsylvania, at 345 N. 7th St., enumerated 5 Jan 1920, reporting they were renting their home. Their children James, Darrel and Jackson were listed as living with them.19

     Harry and Katie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, at 108 E. 21th St., enumerated 18 Apr 1940, reporting they owned a home valued at $6,000, and that they lived in the same house in 1935. Their son Harry was listed as living with them, as was his father, James A. Hartman, who reported he lived in Marsford, Carbon Co., in 1935.4
     Harry registered for the draft for World War II on 27 Apr 1942, while living at 108 E 21th St., Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania, reporting he was employed by Harly Bottling Co. in Northampton.21
     He was the proprietor of a "Nickelet" theater by 1910. In 1920 he was an actor. By 1930 he was again a proprietor, but of what is unknown. In 1940 he reported he had worked 60 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year.22,23,24,25
     His wife died on 28 Nov 1946 in Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania.26

     Harry died on 1 Feb 1978 at age 89.14,15 He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, Northampton Co., Pennsylvania.16
