Narrative:

Loretta Dugan was born in Aug 1897 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.7,8,9
Her father died on 19 Nov 1897, when Loretta was about three months old.19,20,21 Loretta appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her mother, Elizabeth Cassidy, and step-father, Frederick Dugan.1 She appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of her mother and step-father.2
Loretta married first Alvin Souder, son of Joseph Souder and Sarah E. Reigle, on 10 Apr 1917, with John Masterson, alderman at Wilkes-Barre, officiating.3
Loretta and Alvin Souder were living at 91 S. Wells in Wilkes-Barre by 1923.22 When Alvin divorced Loretta he reported that her current residence was unknown, and they had lived together in the city until 5 Jan 1924.23
Loretta and Conrad N. Jacob had a relationship which lead to her moving in with him at 59 Hazle St., Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, apparently on 27 Feb 1925. They represented themselves as husband and wife but never actually married. She testified that "several times he took me up to his place in the mountains to get married, but between the time we left and got there he always changed his mind."24,25
Loretta and Conrad moved to 446 South Main St., Wilkes-Barre, several years later.26
Alvin was granted a divorce from Loretta on 11 Oct 1927 in Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, by Judge Coughlin, on grounds of desertion.10,11
Loretta filed suit in late 1929 charging Conrad with desertion and non-support. She asked for separate maintenance and support. The court decide 26 Dec 1929 that she was not entitled to support and dismissed the suit, but ordered him to pay costs.27
Loretta has not been found in the 1930 census.
Loretta married second Alfred Perry Demonbreun, son of Perry David Demonbreun and Sallie H. Gallaher, about 1931.12,13,14,15,16
Loretta moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he was living, after her marriage to Alfred.28
Loretta and Alfred have not been found in the 1940. It appears they were living in Detroit during that time, but efforts to locate them in the census have been unsuccessful.
Loretta and Alfred appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan, at 728 Helen Ave., enumerated 18 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm.29
Her second husband died on 29 Jul 1963 in 7230 East Congress St., Detroit, Michigan.30
Loretta died on 19 Jun 1965 in Detroit, Michigan, at age 67.17 She was buried on 23 Jun 1965 in Oak Lawn Cemetery.18
