     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of St Louis, St. Louis Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents, Cordon Roswell Woodward and Christine M. Christman.17
     He moved to the southern tip of Illinois with his parents by 1870. He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Cairo, Alexander Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.18 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cairo, Alexander Co., Illinois, in the household of his parents.19
     Jabish married Modena Caroline Walker, daughter of James Pembroke Walker and Modena A. Cobb, on 12 Oct 1881 in Hickman Co., Kentucky, with the consent of her mother since she was under age, with Rev. A. J. Reeis offciating.10,11,8

     He was a clerk in 1880. By 1900 he was a hardware and iron merchant, retired by 1910. But he was working as a bookkeeper at a garage by 1920. By 1930 he was a clerk at a general store.23,24,25,26,27
