     Stanley Matthew Clark was born on 27 Dec 1896 in Cincinnati, Ohio.9,10,11
     He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents, Frederick M. Clark and Lulu C. Fox.5 He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents.6
     Stanley enlisted in the Ohio National Guard, 21 Feb 1916, in Cincinnati. He was assigned to Co. H, 1st Infantry. He was promoted to corporal 6 Jul 1917.18 Elements of the 1st, 5th, and 6th Infantry formed the 147th Infantry 2 Oct 1917, and Stanley's company became Company H, 147th Infantry. He was transferred to Company D, 5 Jan 1918, with a rank of private.19,20
     The 147th departed Newport News, Virginia, on 22 Jun 1918, arriving in France 5 Jul. Stanley served as part of the American Expeditionary Forces, including the Meuse–Argonne offensive and the Ypres-Lys offensive. He returned to the U.S. 23 Mar 1919, and was discharged 19 Apr 1919.21,22
     He was a cost clerk at a wholesale leather company, presumably his father's leather manufacturing business, by 1920.23
     He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents.24
     Stanley married first Nettie Ragio, daughter of William Ragio and May Arrico, on 16 Sep 1922 in Hamilton Co., Ohio, with Rev. James N. Firlding officiaing.12
     His wife died on 5 Apr 1925 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.25
     Stanley married second Myrtle Anna Wiemann, daughter of Frederick William Wiemann and Susan Caroline Wildey. She had previously been married to August Endress Bruck.13,14,15
     He was a credit man at a rubber company in 1930.26

     Stanley and Myrtle appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in the household of Frederick William Wiemann and Susan Caroline Wildey, her parents.28
     He was a credit manager for a golf club manufacturer by 1940, reporting in 1940 he had worked 48 hours the last week of March, and 52 weeks the prior year, earning $2,000.29,30 He registered for the draft for World War II on 26 Apr 1942, while living at 459 Crestline Ave., Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, reporting he was employed by Cranford MacGregor & Canby Company in Dayton, Ohio, a major producer of golf clubs.3
     Stanley and Myrtle appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, at 459 Crestline Ave., enumerated 11 Apr 1950, reporting they lived in a home that was not on a farm. Her mother was listed as living with them.31
     Stanley died on 8 Jun 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio, at age 62.16,17 He was buried on 11 Jun 1959 in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, in his father-in-law's lot.4
