Johanna Rosina Grundmann was born on 28 Nov 1803 in Langenau, Königreich Sachsen.5She was baptized on 1 Dec 1803 in Kirchgemeinde Bockendorf, Gersdorf, Königreich Sachsen, Her godparents were the maiden Rosina Maria, legitimate and only daughter of master Gottlieb Goldammer linen weaver and farmer in Langenau; Gottfried Petzold, farmer in Langenau; and maiden Maria Elisabeth, legitimate other daughter of Gottlob Reibetanz, small farmer and brick maker in Langenau.2
Johanna sponsored the baptism of August Hermann Gapsch, her older sister's first son, on 26 Aug 1832 in St. Äegidien-Kirche, Altenhof, Königreich Sachsen.1
She was a maid in Striegis, probably working as a servant for a family there, when she served as godparent for her nephew in 1837 in Striegis.6 She sponsored the baptism of Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Gapsch, her older sister's second son, on 9 Sep 1837 in St. Äegidien-Kirche, Altenhof, Königreich Sachsen.7
