     William Meek Hoggatt was born on 18 May 1874 in Cass Co., Missouri.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Union Twp., Wright Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents, Elishia Hoggatt and Naomi Ann Fulton.4 He appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of High Paririe Twp., Webster Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents.5
     William married first Addie P. Goff on 22 Jun 1900 in Buffalo, Dallas Co., Missouri.11
     His wife died before 1907, apparently, as he remarried then, and no further record of her has been found.12
     William married second Mahala A. George, daughter of John W. George and Mira Purcell, on 6 Jul 1907 in Marchfield, Webster Co., Missouri, with J. M. Terry, Probate Judge, officiating.12
     Mahala died before 1910.15
     William appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Hazelwood Twp., Webster Co., Missouri, enumerated 29 Apr 1910, listed as living with Edward George, who was identified as a "chum" but seems likely to have been some relative of his late wife.16
     William married third Ida May Reigle, daughter of William David Riegel and Mary J. Quakenbush, on 28 Sep 1910 in Marchfield, Webster Co., Missouri, with J. M. Terry, Judge of Probate, officiating.13,14
     Ida died on 21 Mar 1917 in Hazelwood Twp., Webster Co., Missouri.17,18

His children Leona and Clarence were listed as living with him, as was his mother-in-law, Mary J. Quakenbush.19
     William appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Hazelwood Twp., Webster Co., Missouri, enumerated 24 Apr 1930, reporting that he rented his home. His son Clarence was listed as living with him.3
     William appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Hazelwood Twp., Webster Co., Missouri, enumerated 24 Apr 1940, reporting that he rented his home for $2 per month, and had lived in rural Webster Co. in 1935.20
     He was a farm worker in most records, but reported himself as a farmer in 1920 when he was apparently operating the farm owned by his wife's parents. In 1940 he reported he had worked 52 weeks the prior year, earning $150.21,22,23,24,25,26
     William appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Seymour, Webster Co., Missouri, in the household of his brother James.27
     William died on 17 Nov 1953 in Seymour, Webster Co., Missouri, at age 79.1 He was buried on 20 Nov 1953 in Seymour Cemetery, Webster Co., Missouri.1
