     William married Celia Adline Harp on 19 Dec 1842 in Crawford Co., Georgia, with John McMicheal, justice of the peace, officiating.7,8
     William and Celia appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Grangerville, Macon Co., Georgia, enumerated 3 Aug 1860, reporting real estate valued at $7850 and personal estate of $27,100. Their children Robert, Egbert, William, Cora, Susan, Thomas, Adela and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Luana E. Harp, age 38, recorded as idiotic.2
     William and Celia appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Douglasville, Davis Co., Texas, enumerated 8 Sep 1870, reporting real estate valued at $2000 and personal estate of $2,000. Their children William, Cora, Susan, Thomas, Adela and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Luannia Harp, age 49, recorded as insane.11
     William and Celia appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cass Co., Texas, enumerated 11 Jun 1880. Their children Thomas and James were listed as living with them, as was her sister, Emiline Harp, age 58, recorded as insane, and Thomas' wife, Mattie.12

     His wife died on 16 Dec 1892.13
     William died on 4 Mar 1893 at age 79.9 He was buried in Douglassville Cemetery, Douglassville, Cass Co., Texas.10
