Narrative:

     William Tillman White was born in 1836 in Kentucky.6,7,8
     He was probably the male under age 5 listed in the household of his father, Henry P. White, in the 1840 Federal Census of Todd Co., Kentucky.14 He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Todd Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents.15 He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Todd Co., Kentucky, in the household of his parents.16
     William married Modena A. Clark, daughter of James G. Clark and Mary Willard Cobb, on 30 Apr 1861 in Lyon Co., Kentucky.9,10
     He was a farmer, living at home, in 1860. By 1870 he was a dry goods merchant, and returned to farming by 1880.16,17,11
     William and Modena appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Elkton, Todd Co., Kentucky, enumerated 19 Jul 1870, reporting real estate valued at $1,000 and personal estate of $2,000. Their children William, Martha and Henry were listed as living with them.17
     William died in Apr 1880 in Todd Co., Kentucky.11,12 He was buried in Edgewood Cemetery, Trenton, Todd Co., Kentucky.13
