William filed a petition 29 May 1852 as administrator of his mother's estate, for the widow's pension for his father's Revolutionary War service. Apparently she had never filed for that benefit after his death.18
William died on 9 Nov 1854.9 He was buried in Pawlet Cemetery, Pawlet, Vermont
