     12 Marietta Cobb was born on 18 Dec 1808 in Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.5,6,7
     She was probably one of the two females under age 10 listed in the household of her father, Capt. Willard Cobb, in the 1810 Federal Census of Pawlet, Rutland Co., Vermont.13 She was probably the female age 10 to 16 listed in the household of her father in the 1820 Federal Census of Wells, Rutland Co., Vermont.14
     She moved to Indiana with her parents about 1827.15 She was probably the female age 20 to 30 listed in the household of her father in the 1830 Federal Census of Decatur Co., Indiana.16
     Marietta married William Samuel Dart on 22 Aug 1833 in Decatur Co., Indiana, with Samuel Bryan, justice of the peace, offciating.8,9
     Marietta and William moved to Iowa about 1840.17
     She was probably the female age 30 to 40 listed in the household of her husband, William Samuel Dart, in the 1840 Federal Census of Henry Co., Iowa Territory.18

     Marietta and William appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., Iowa, enumerated 15 Aug 1850, reporting real estate valued at $4,000. Their children Webster, Eliza and George were listed as living with them, as was Lewis Folk, age 21.21
     Marietta and William appeared on the 1856 State Census of Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., Iowa. Their children Webster and Eliza were listed as living with them, as were her mother, and her sister Sarah.22
     Marietta and William appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., Iowa, enumerated 27 Jun 1860, reporting real estate valued at $15,000 and personal estate of $4,00. Their children Webster and Eliza were listed as living with them.23

     Marietta and William moved to Des Moines by 1870. They appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa, enumerated 20 Jul 1870, reporting real estate valued at $20,000 and personal estate of $6,000. Their daughter Eliza, her husband, and their children are shown as living in the same building.24
     Marietta and William appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of 210 Water St., Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa, in the household of her daughter Eliza and her husband, Joseph A. Ankeney.25
     Her husband died on 24 Aug 1881 in Polk Co., Iowa.26,27,28

     Marietta appeared appeared on the 1885 State Census Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa, in the household of her daughter Elizaand her husband.29
     When the administratrix of her son Webster's estate filed a report on the sale of his real estate, it showed Marietta had loaned him $2,500 secured by a second mortgage on part of his real estate. When the property was sold she bought part of it, but the proceeds were not enough to pay off her mortgage.30 When the final settlement of her son's estate was filed 12 Oct 1889, there were not enough funds to pay her claim for the second mortgage she held, so she released the estate from liability so it could be closed.31
     Marietta received a distribution of $606 from the estate of her late husband, as reported in the first settlement report for the estate, which was filed 9 May 1894. The estate records do not include any distribution of land, so whether she also received land is unknown.32
     Marietta appeared on the 1895 State Census of Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa, in the household of her older sister Sarah.33
     Marietta moved to Florida, where her daughter and her husband were then living, by 1900. She appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Ankona, Brevard Co., Florida, in the household of Joseph and Eliza.34
     Marietta died on 5 Feb 1904 at age 95.10 She was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa, in a lot adjacent to those of her daughter Eliza and her family, and her sisters Sarah and Parolina.11
