     Wesley David Morton was born on 6 Sep 1867 in Dushore, Sullivan Co., Pennsylvania.8,9,10
     He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Dushore, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents, Daniel J. Morton and Matilda J. Fairchilds.15 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Jackson Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, in the household of his parents.5
     Wesley married Clara Lamoreaux, daughter of Fletcher Lamoreaux and Mary [surname unknown], on 24 Mar 1889 in Kingston, Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, with Rev. John G. Eckman officiating.11,12
     Wesley and Clara appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dallas Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 11 Jun 1900, reporting that they owned their home, which was mortgaged. Their children Flossie and Hazle were listed as living with them, His parents with three of their younger children were apparently living close by, as they appear next in the census listing.16
